Chris Macias

Chris has coached competitive baseball since 2006. In 2011 Chris formed the South Central Gassers. The Gassers dominated that summer winning the championship in 7 tourneys.  The Gassers won the 16u AA USSSA State Championship.  They also won the Dodge City Wild West World Series.  In 2012, the Gassers won the Frozen Frenzy USSSA 18u Championship and also won the USSSA Shootout in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The Gassers were a very young 18u team that year but playing stiff competition is what led to so many players eventually signing scholarships.  In 2013, the South Central Gassers had a 16u and 18u and dominated in both age groups.  Both teams were registered as Major level USSSA teams.  Seventeen players signed college scholarships over the course of those three seasons. 

Chris decided to put a team together in 2016 to play in the 12U USSSA State Championship.  The South Central Gassers finished 4th in a 37 team field and finished the year 1st in Power Rankings.  In 2017, the South Central Gassers were back finishing the seasons 35-18-2.  The Gassers won the USSSA Battle for the Rings Championship and won the USSSA Stars and Stripes Championship.  The Gassers finished 2nd in the NBC Hutch Tourney and took 2nd in the NBC Pratt Woodbat Tourney.  The Gassers will only get stronger as players gain experience.Chris is the Branch President for Citizens Bank of Kansas.  He's had a 16 year banking career and specializes in multi-family and hotel lending. 

Channing Williams

Channing has assisted one year under the Gassers organization and plans to assist full time once graduation. In 2011, Channing played under the first year Gassers, that helped win 7 championships in tournaments that summer. The Gassers won the 16u AA USSSA State Championship that Channing was a part of, as well as winning the Dodge City Wild West World Series. Channing, continued the following summers playing under Chris and the Gassers, where they won two more tournaments both coming in Oklahoma. Playing for the Gassers opened the door for Channing and his recruitment from schools.

Channing eventually signed to play baseball at Butler Community College. At Butler he started second base every game for two seasons. He also won a Gold Glove for his conference and was then a nominee for a national gold glove. Channing then went on to sign and continue his career at Newman University. Channing’s first year at Newman, he started every game at third base. Channing then received his second gold glove in his career, this time in the Heartland Conference. Channing still has another year to finish up at Newman and once finished he plans on coaching one of the Gassers team. The Gassers will only get better and open doors to kid’s success in baseball.

Easton Herring 

Easton will be a first year coach for the Gassers but it won't be his first time in a Gasser uniform. He went to high school in Pratt, KS and graduated in 2013 then went on to redshirt at Emporia State University due to shoulder surgery. After his redshirt season at Emporia State he decided to leave and attend Southeast Community College in Nebraska where he caught in 56 of the 63 games. Easton help lead the SCC Storm to a Regional Championship and to a 42-21 record. He was nominated to be apart of the All-Nebraska JUCO Team.

Easton decided to take his talents to Newman University in Wichita, KS. In his first season there he led the Heartland Conference in runners thrown out from behind the dish with 16. Easton has one more year left for the Jets, after he graduates he plans on teaching and coaching for a living.

Kody Cox 

Kody will be a second year assistant for the Gassers. Kody was a four year starter in high school and earned all-state honors his senior year. Kody went on to play at Cloud Country Community College. Kody ended his Career after those two years but never lost his passion for the game. Kody brings the same intensity with which he played to coaching. Kody has won multiple state championships and knows the dedication and drive it takes to become a successful baseball player.
